What needs to happen in order to have a clear vision and a tight plan on how to get there?
An example vision statement:
Religious Education in the Christchurch Diocese will lead the way in curriculum delivery using modern and engaging pedagogical methods.
Or
Teachers and learners in the Christchurch Diocese will fully engage with all aspects of the Religious Education program in years 7 to 10. The engagement will use the most modern and engaging teaching and learning methods. Students by year 10 will be knowledgable about the contents of the Catholic Catechism. Catholic schools will base all programs of learning on the teachings of the Catholic Church and students will leave Catholic high school with a fully formed Catholic worldview.

What needs to happen to get a really strong strategic plan that will not be usurped by the national office requirement to cover the whole curriculum?
